A look at past events and projected events of 2021
2020 brought a dramatic change to the way we host and attend events, welcoming us all into the era of a virtual world. With the cancellation of all large physical gatherings, the pandemic gave us the opportunity to connect with individuals across the nation, virtually. Here’s a look at some of the events Alder Color participated in and hosted during the 2020 pandemic:
Free Pop-Up Trainings
Early in the year, Alder presented a number of free, live & online training sessions. A few topics for these sessions included:

- EFI Fiery XF Spot Color Handling, presented by Dan, joined by Jeremy Tesch, EFI Technical Sales Specialist, March 31st, 2020

Color Management for Digital Photography
During the Summer, Alder joined in on a Maryland Professional Photographers Association evening seminar. During this seminar, Alder presented a session on Color Management for Digital Photography.
Color Ready! Virtual Conference Week
The PRINTING United Alliance Color Ready! event provided a convenient, powerful, and practical learning experience, through 5 virtual sessions presented over 5 days. Alder’s workshop on “Managing Spot Colors in a Digital World” covered topics on Pantone colors and limitations, getting to know device gamuts, how to match spot colors, and more.
Digital Textile Printing 2020
In another PRINTING United Alliance event hosted virtually just this month, Alder Color Solutions was a proud sponsor and presenter for the Digital Textile Printing 2020 Conference. Discussing more on Spot Colors and Spectral Data, our color experts brought their expertise to those in the textile industries.
PRINTING United Alliance Color Management Boot Camp
During these focused workshops, our certified instructors present 3 live, very interactive, sessions covering a plethora of color management topics. This workshop is designed to help attendees prepare to earn their PRINTING United Alliance, Digital Color Professional Certification. Normally offered at physical locations across the nation, the 2020 boot camps were offered virtually, at an incredible deal.
The future of Alder events in 2021
Virtual events have opened up opportunities for many individuals across the nation to attend our seminars and conferences that may not have been available in their local areas throughout the year. Moving into 2021, Alder presentations and events will likely continue to remain online, with most content made available to attendees afterward.
Our live and virtual Color Management Boot Camp schedule will be released early 2021. Confirmed appearances at other PRINTING United Alliance conferences, and local seminars will be announced throughout the year, as those programs are finalized.
Evaluating the successes and challenges of hosting virtual events will help us shape our presentations for the future, and as the skies of the pandemic days clear up, we hope to bring back physical events in the Spring or Summer of 2021.
