Custom Spot Color Tables turn your spot colors into in-gamut color libraries built from your own ICC media profiles. You upload your media profiles, and Alder converts your spot colors into your device's gamut — predicting exactly how each color will actually print on your machine, ink, and substrate.
The result is a library where every color is already in gamut, so your designers and print buyers choose colors that will reproduce accurately — no more being misled by out-of-gamut colors or discovering the problem on press.
Delivered in two formats:
- .ASE (Adobe Swatch Exchange) — used in Adobe Creative Cloud apps like Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Share this file with your designers and print buyers so they can choose colors that are all in gamut for your devices.
- .CxF (Color eXchange Format) — an open-architecture, non-proprietary format supported in most RIP software for production use.
Most printing companies need both — .ASE for the creative side and .CxF for the RIP — so each table is delivered in both formats. For the best results, use custom ICC media profiles created from your specific machine, ink, and substrate.
Built for you by Alder Color Solutions' G7-certified color experts. If you don't yet have custom ICC media profiles for your machine, ink, and substrate, we can create those too.
