The Techkon SpectroPlate is a handheld digital-microscope plate reader that brings precise dot-transfer measurement to your prepress workflow — reading dot percentage, screen ruling, screen angle, and dot gain on offset printing plates, film, and CMYK prints.
SpectroPlate uniformly illuminates the plate with spectral-broadband LED light and captures a high-resolution microscopic image through a precision optical lens and CMOS color sensor. Sophisticated image-processing algorithms then read any screen technology — AM, FM, or Hybrid — across low to high resolutions. Each device is factory-calibrated to a reference plate, so there are no time-consuming calibration routines before measuring and inter-instrument agreement stays excellent.

- All-Vision — adds measurement of chemistry-low, process-low plates with very low visible contrast
The Start model can be upgraded to Expert with a software upload from your PC; All-Vision capability is added through a hardware expansion.
