Why custom spot
color libraries?
From design to print, each program and device has a specific gamut or library of colors that it is capable of producing. Many times, your printer will have a much more limited gamut than the softwares that are used to design the final product.
When a device is unable to produce the colors seen on the design application, you can end up with major discrepancies between what you hoped to produce and what is actually printed.
How it works
Taking any print device’s specific media profile, our team evaluates the number of all possible spot colors that are outside of that particular device’s gamut and converts them into gamut.
This allows our team to produce a custom spot color library, that contains only the colors that device is capable of producing, eliminating the guesswork in whether any given color within that library will be printed correctly or not.

Available in both .CXF and .ASE formats
The Adobe Swatch Exchange (.ase) format is used in Adobe Creative Cloud apps, such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. This is the file you would share with your designers and print buyers, so they could choose colors that are all in gamut for your devices.
The Color eXchange Format (.cxf) is an open-architecture, non-proprietary format that is supported in most RIP softwares. Printing companies would usually need both of these.
