When Windows encounters the Xitron USB “Blue Box” driver, it returns an Error 52 — a signature validation failure that can permanently interrupt your ability to send plate output through the interface.

Xitron and Microsoft are actively working on a new digital signature for the affected driver, but a fix is not yet available. The only way to protect yourself right now is to act before the update reaches your machine.

What You Need to Do Right Now

1. Turn off Microsoft Automatic Updates immediately. This is the single most important step. If Windows 25H2 installs before you take action, you may lose plate output capability.
2. Verify your current Windows version. Go to Settings → System → About and confirm your Windows 11 version. If it shows anything prior to 25H2, you're currently protected — but keep automatic updates off until Xitron issues the all-clear.
