Full-color update at Dakota Press

This last week Alder worked with Dakota Press to dial in their proofer, presses, and cut sheet production devices. By running more periodic calibrations we can keep proofs matching color standards every day. Epson inkjet proofers tend to drift out of tolerance every 2-4 months. Remote calibration finally makes recalibration affordable. 

What was the need?

Dakota had a color-critical job that needed to match the proof as close as possible.

What can Alder Color do?

Alder remotely dialed into the EFI Fiery XF proofing system and recalibrated it using the Epson P9000 and the onboard Spectroproofer. Our technicians can run a full recalibration without the cost of an onsite visit.

What does a calibration achieve?

Remote calibration allows Alder to keep proofing equipment running at its best. By running more periodic calibrations we can keep proofs matching color standards every day.

End Result…

Press conditions were evaluated using our Alder Color Assurance software. Press sheets were measured at the press and uploaded directly to the cloud. The optimum ink colors were calculated from that data and adjusted during the press set up. Our cloud-based quality control software can evaluate color, do conformance reporting, tracking and trending data, and create/revise G7 curves.
