Curve4 is a system of separate tools that work together to help you calibrate your printing system, verify its accuracy, and prepare your measurements for ICC profiling or use as color references. Three core tools — Verify, Calibrate, and Blend — cover the full G7 workflow.

The Curve4 toolset:

  • Verify — calculates G7 conformance to the latest IDEAlliance specifications and returns a clear visual pass/fail badge. Handles G7 Grayscale, Targeted, and ColorSpace compliance (or a simple color proof check), displays every patch against its reference, flags missing patches, and supports SCCA (Substrate-Corrected Colorimetric Aims) and Native Gray balance.
  • Calibrate — an updated interface with ink channel limiting / balanced neutral black, calibration from a smaller initial target, recalibration from a very small target, and SCTV (Spot Color Tone Value) support.
  • Blend — combine, massage, and process color measurements to build the best possible ICC profiles, with white point adaptation, smoothing & smart averaging, and apply-curves functions.

Powerful additional functions:

  • Integrated measuring (all three tools) — supports i1 Pro, iO, iSis, eXact, KM FD-9, Barbieri Spectro LFP, and Techkon SpectroDens instruments
  • Virtual Press Run (VPR) (Calibrate; Curve Complete license required) — skip the verification/profiling run during G7 calibration, potentially G7-calibrating a group of papers in a single press run
  • OneRun targets (Calibrate) — combine P2P and profiling targets into one, so with VPR you can calibrate to G7 across multiple papers and build profiles in a single run
  • Maxwell integration (all three tools) — pull measurements straight from the Maxwell cloud color-monitoring system with one click
