Photographic Printing. Refined.
Incorporating the latest imaging technologies, including Epson’s PrecisionCore® TFP® printhead, the new P-Series printers deliver extraordinary performance for the professional printing industry along with unparalleled color matching capabilities. Leveraging Epson’s UltraChrome® HD ten-color ink set, the 24-inch Epson SureColor P7000 is designed for graphic designers, commercial printers and photographers.
PrecisionCore TFP Print Head
The SureColor P-Series delivers consistent, high-performance with variable size ink droplet technology as small as 3.5 picoliters for remarkable print quality. New enhancements include a new wave form, improving dot placement and accuracy. User-scheduled cleaning cycles improve print head health.
The Thin Film Piezo (TFP) print head design is capable of handling ten separate ink channels. The one-inch wide, high performance print head is equipped with 360 nozzles per channel. It is also equipped with automatic or user-prompted Photo to Matte Black ink switching. Additionally, new ink repellant surface
coating reduces nozzle clogging.
New User Scheduled Print Head Maintenance Cycles
Improve print head health over prolonged idle periods with the ability to schedule print head maintenance cycles. User-selectable cleaning routines can occur periodically every 6 to 60 hours.
New Epson UltraChrome® HDX 10-Color Pigment Ink
Improved Black Density
Black pigments are 1.5 times denser than the previous generation ink set. Significant improvement to overall contrast ratio and optical clarity.
Significant Print Permanence Improvements
Epson’s newest generation of yellow pigment technology represents a breakthrough in both color and print permanence with up to twice the overall print permanence versus the previous generation ink set. Print permanence ratings are available from Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. Visit www.wilhelm-research.com for the latest details.
Improved gloss uniformity
Improved Resin Encapsulation Technology for superior gloss uniformity.
Three-Level Black Ink Technology
The P7000, like its Stylus Pro predecessor, simultaneously uses black, light black and light light black inks, which significantly improves the gray balance while eliminating color casts and achieves outstanding highlight-to-shadow grayscale accuracy for a smoother tonal range.
Advanced Black & White Printing Technology
Advanced black & white driver dialog gives complete control of grayscale toning using a unique screening algorithm for producing professional black & white prints. Utilizing the three-level black system, the P7000 optimizes black & white print quality. Some of the world’s greatest black and white prints have been produced using this driver technology.
Unique EPSON PrecisionDot™ Screening
Using an advanced form of math to determine dot size and placement, the P7000 creates accurate blends and tonal transitions using fixed and three-level variable-sized droplet technology for outstanding print quality.
Single-Sheet Top-Loading Fine Art & Poster Board Media Input
Considered the benchmark standard for professional cut sheet media loading, enjoy automatic alignment and paper skew checking. Additionally, simple top-loading for fine art and poster board media up to 1.5 mm thick gives greater versatility in media options.
Improved Roll Media Features
Automatic printing and reading of a bar code after every print allows the accurate estimatation of the remaining media length and automatically alerts operator if there’s not enough media left to print the job. No front-loading of media allows the printer to be pushed-up against any wall. Additionally, spindle-Free media adapters with both 2” and 3” media core adjustments allows easy switching of media. And the built-in Automatic Rotary Media Cutter is capable of smoothly cutting all photographic and fine art media types.
New Printer Driver Options
